Details

This is our youngest,freshest and most original wine,born on plateaus 1000 metres above sea level,the highest in the Ribera del Duera region.There,atop the limestone soils of the province of Valladolid,the long hot days and chilly nights bring out the strong bouquet and soft tanins while the altitude creates freshness in the wine.

The yield is never more than 4500 kilos per hectre which allows for an optimum ripening cycle enabling the grapes to fully express the characteristics of their priveledged location.

Vendimia Seleccionada is made,like all Resalte wines,using gravity and constant temperature checks.When the grapes arrive at the cellar the temperatures are quickly lowered for the 5 days needed to extract the aromatic potential and grape colour.We then start the alcoholic fermentation followed by an 18-day-long maceration period which enhances the fresh fruity character that began on the vine.

Our Vendimia Seleccionada rests for at least 6 months in new 500 litre French oak barrels from a variety of coopers and with different toastings.
